Congratulations on your BCFD team placement.

1. Registration Information

To accept your team invitation for the 2108-2019 season, complete the following:

By August 4, 2018: Log into your Danceworks account:


1)  Pay the $20 registration fee.


2)  Select your tuition plan for the 2018-2019 season (summer does not apply).  It currently is selected to session, you will choose one of the following:

  • Competition Tuition Plan A
  • Competition Tuition Plan B
  • Competition Tuition Plan C

Tuition plan discounts include ALL of your account tuition including team, ballet and any additional classes and private or semi-private lessons.


By logging into your account and selecting one of the below tuition plans, you are agreeing to the terms of the plan. 

2. Competition Student/Parent Obligations

Competition Team Handbook

Each competition family will receive a handbook prior to the fall/spring session.   By joining a BCFD competition team, you are agreeing to the terms of this handbook.

New competition families: If you would like a black and white copy of the 2017-2018 handbook, please contact the front desk.


The information provided below is only for general planning purposes.  The Competition Team Handbook will be the principle guideline.


Performances

  • Green Bay Holiday Parade 2018
  • BCFD Spirit of the Holidays Production.  Teams perform in both shows at their location.
    • Green Bay teams held December 1-2, 2018
    • Fox Valley teams held December 15-16, 2018
  • Competition Team Show-Off Day TBD
  • Spring Celebration of Dance.  Teams perform in all shows at their location (except GB Petite Troupe & Line).
    • Green Bay held May 17-19, 2019
    • Fox Valley held May 31-June 2, 2019 *tentative
  • Other potential performances in the community (as much notice as possible will be provided).

Productions

  • All competition team dancers (except Petite Troupe GB & Petite Line GB) are required to participate in a production routine.  Rehearsal schedules will be provided in the Competition Team Handbook.


Extra Rehearsal Time

  • Will be scheduled as deemed necessary.


Costumes

  • A costume will be purchased for each team routine & ballet.
  • Appropriate shoes, tights and accessories will be determined.
  • Optional BCFD apparel will be available to order in the fall.

3. Competition/Convention Requirements

Late Feb - May 2019

Detailed competition information will be provided in the Competition Team Handbook.

Troupes & Lines

Petite Troupe, Petite Line, Junior Troupe & Junior Line

  • 2-3 Regional competitions with all BCFD competition teams.

Pre Travel Teams

Thrive, Fierce, Spirit, Rising Stars & Senior Team

  • 3-4 Regional competitions with all BCFD competition teams.

Travel Teams

Extreme Teen, Extreme Senior, Extreme Stars, Shooting Stars, Starlight & Starbound

  • Four (4) Regional competitions with all BCFD competition teams.
  • One (1) Mandatory convention/workshop.  Possible one (1) optional convention/workshop.
  • National competition during the summer of 2019.

Pre Company Teams

Elite Teen & Elite Stars

  • Four (4) Regional competitions with all BCFD competition teams.
  • Two (2) Mandatory convention/workshops.  Possible one (1) optional convention/workshop.
  • In-house collegiate faculty master classes.
  • National competition during the summer of 2019.

Company Team

Essence Dance Company

  • Optional New York trip to include classes at Broadway Dance Center or Steps on Broadway in October/November 2018.
  • Possible college dance program tour & classes.
  • In-house collegiate faculty master classes.
  • Four (4) Regional competitions with all BCFD competition teams.
  • 2-3 convention/workshops (may include competition).  
  • National competition during the summer of 2019.

4. BCFD Competition Tuition Plans

A. Payment of full year tuition will receive a 5% discount.

Payment must be made no later than September 15, 2018. 


If you have selected this option, the discount will be applied to your account by September 1, 2018. 


If payment is not made on or by September 15, 2018 the discount will be removed. 

B. Payment by semester will receive a 2% discount.

A minimum of 1/2 of the total tuition must be paid no later than September 15th, 2018 with the remaining balance paid no later than January 12, 2019. 


If you have selected this option, the discount will be applied to your account by September 1, 2018. 


If semester payment is not made on or by September 15, 2018 the discount will be removed. 


This policy will also apply to second semester payments.

C. Payment by quarter with equal payments of the total tuition due as listed below:

  • Payment #1: September 15, 2018
  • Payment #2: November 10, 2018
  • Payment #3: January 12, 2019
  • Payment #4: March 2, 2019

You must select one of the two (2) below options to qualify for the quarterly plan:

  • A valid credit card must be provided to BCFD to be kept on file.  If payment is not received on the dates listed above, BCFD will charge your card for the payment due on the next business day.
  • If you do not have a credit card on file, you must provide four (4) checks dated, as listed above, must be returned by September 15, 2018. Your checks will not be cashed prior to the above listed dates.
