Is your child a first timer testing the waters? Do your kids love dance but are also involved in other activities? Are you a teen looking for something fun to do with friends? We offer a large variety of classes for the recreational and competitive dancer!
We offer two dance sessions; our Fall/Spring session and our Summer session. The Fall/Spring session is a 30-week program and runs from the first full week after Labor Day through early May, culminating with our annual recital, “Spring Celebration of Dance”. Our classes are designed for the student who begins in September and continues through the school year. Classes may be entered, on a space available basis, through about the end of October.
Our summer session includes a one-week dance camp, a four-week traditional dance program and a focus session on Strength/Flexibility during mid-August.
This class is a fun and engaging introduction to movement. Through imagery and play, children learn cooperation, patience, motor skills, and self esteem. This class offers the first steps for children to take direction from someone besides their parents while dancing to upbeat, fun music.
This combination class offers the benefit of both tap and ballet in one.
3 -5 Year Olds: The focus in this class is to introduce the basic steps of dance through creative movement and imagery.
5-6 Year Olds: The focus in this class is to continue to build upon and strengthen the fundamentals of dance though proper vocabulary.
Our tap and jazz combination classes offer dancers a breakdown of the steps with an emphasis on proper technique. Students dance to fun and upbeat age appropriate music while learning routines to on-trend choreography.
Hippity Hop (4-6 Year Olds): Hip Hop for the young dancer, this class is great for getting the wiggles out while teaching body basics used in hip hop in a fun, engaging setting. Simple choreography and big movements help little ones gain mastery of material. Super fun while burning tons of energy!
Hip Hop: This style of dance adds diversity to a student’s training! The focus of this athletic and energetic dance class is to use isolations and free-style movement set to popular age appropriate music.
This class is recommended for any dancer who wants to improve their technical skills while building the proper strength and flexibility. The focus of this class is aimed at strengthening specific muscle groups while incorporating full body stretches to increase flexibility and range of motion. Instructors provide a breakdown and extra help in achieving leaps and turn progressions used in all styles of dance! *Non-performance class
